I create colors from bark, roots, plants, leaves, flowers and fruits. The plurality of Nature and its colors.
I harvest the necessary raw materials with respect, responsibility and according to their seasonality. I grow some of the raw materials and use others that would otherwise be discarded.
Natural Dyeing is a circular process.
From earth to pigment. From pigment to earth.
It is transforming, creating, valuing, caring and preserving.
Dyeing without toxicity, without harmful chemicals and without endocrine disruptors. My commitment to using natural, organic, harmless and safe products that have a positive impact.
Investigation
The studio is my space for researching colors and investigating local and national flora. It is also a place for testing to optimize natural dyeing processes with the aim of achieving a positive impact with the resources used.
The brand was born out of the desire to create textile products with a positive impact and effective transformation, with a long-term commitment to designing it using the Circular Economy model, which allows thinking about the entire life cycle of a product in a way that regenerative and bringing positive consequences for the environment and people. — the only important thing about design is how it relates to people - Victor Papaneck
Craft production
I sew pieces in single quantities. Each piece has its time.
I dye naturally using artisanal processes, respecting the season of each pigment and its harvest. The seasonality of color. I harvest and collect the raw material in small quantities, to minimize the impact and enable the renewal of the ecosystem.
I choose natural materials that are durable and healthy while we wear them and biodegradable when their life cycle comes to an end (vegetable fibers decompose more quickly than synthetic fabrics, contributing to a lower environmental impact). Fabrics made from raw natural fibers, such as organic cotton, are processed by Portuguese companies with ecological certificates and environmental responsibility.
